Texas History Day

In October, we hosted a school-wide community event to learn about and celebrate Texas History. Bedford Fire and Police were present, and Mike Wilson charged and oversaw the firing of a replica cannon from the Texas War for Independence.  Wilson also gifted the students of CHCA with history lessons about the main battles fought in the war, and showed them several artifacts from the time period. 

It wouldn't be a Texas celebration without line dancing and barbeque! The lessons and cannon demonstration were followed by a barbeque lunch and line dancing, and topped off with Texas' own Blue Bell ice cream.
